Commercial Manager
£65,000 - £75,000 + Interesting Projects + Progression to Director level

With over five decades of experience, this growing small-to-medium residential contractor has built a reputation for delivering exceptional refurbishments for affluent clients, with projects valued up to £2 million. Their portfolio spans a variety of bespoke residential developments, ranging from historical restorations to modern, cutting-edge designs. This commitment to high-spec finishes and quality craftsmanship has earned them a loyal client base and a strong industry reputation. As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to help drive their next phase of growth.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial expert to join a reputable business during a period of grow. The director plans on stepping away from the business in the next few years which will also create progression to directorship.
In this role you will be responsible for Estimating and Cost control of projects from enquiry stage. You will use take offs, sub-contractor and material costs to create quotations for clients. Once budget is agreed you will manage the cost control of projects through to final accounts, mostly working on traditional JCT Contracts. You will liaise with a variety of clients including Architects as well as obtaining unique materials.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial background with experience working on residential refurbishment projects. You will be looking for the rare opportunity to join a family run business and become a vital part of the company with progress to directorship.
The Role:
- Produce tenders for projects from take offs including sub-contractor and material costs
- Overseeing the cost control of residential refurbishment projects valuing up to £2M
- Conduction monthly valuations, any variations and CVRs
- Based from the office in Surrey with local site travel to sites
The Person:
- Commercial Manager (Estimating and Quantity Surveying)
- Good experience working on residential refurbishment projects up to £1M
- Looking to hold a vital role within a renowned company
- Full UK Driving License - happy to travel in and around Surrey
