My client is a fast-growing, innovative business investing over £1bn into low-carbon heat network projects across the UK. They work with local authorities, developers, and property owners to design, build, operate, and maintain cutting-edge district energy networks. Their focus is on delivering sustainable, technically advanced solutions to drive the decarbonisation of heating in the built environment. As a Project Development Manager, you will be instrumental in taking potential projects from early-stage feasibility through to contract execution. You'll work closely with business development, engineering, commercial, and legal teams to shape technically and commercially viable heat network projects. Your role will involve conducting feasibility assessments, technoeconomic modeling, risk analysis, and stakeholder engagement to ensure project success. The Role
- Develop heat network projects from feasibility through to contract execution.
- Conduct technoeconomic modeling and commercial viability assessments.
- Engage with stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Identify project risks and opportunities, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Support funding applications and project bid submissions.
The Person
- 2-5 years' experience in energy, utilities, or infrastructure development.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical and commercial mindset.
- Confident working with technical documents and financial models (Excel proficiency required).
- Excellent communicator, able to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
- Passion for decarbonisation and a drive to develop innovative energy solutions.
