Senior Civil Engineer (Petrochemical & Renewables Projects)

£55,000 - £70,000 (DOE) + Hybrid Working + Training + Hybrid + Progression + Flexibility

This office-based role offers the opportunity to build and lead a team, expanding the client base while maintaining high-quality project delivery. Initially, this involves site visits, competitive bidding, and project management. As the team grows, the successful candidate will mentor staff with scope to progress with further office growth.
The ideal candidate should hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and possess Chartership status with a professional body such as MICE or ISTuctE, if this is not the case but you are actively looking to gain chartership status, please still apply. Ideally, they will come from a Civil/Structural background and have experience in bidding and managing projects. While some managerial experience is preferred, it can be developed through internal training.

The role:
- Grow, mentor, and develop the capabilities of the engineering team
- Attend sites to gain an understanding of the project scope and pricing to ensure comprehensive management of project deliverables
- Develop external networks to ensure optimal reach to potential clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to establish and implement growth strategies
The Person
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
- Background in Civil/Structural engineering
- Preferably experience in mentoring staff and developing competencies
- Preferably someone with Chartership status to a relevant professional body (MICE, ISTructE), support can be offered to obtain this for the right candidate.
