Are you an experienced Head of IT with commercial and hands on technical skills? Are you able to run an IT department improving the efficiency and growth of a business?

This company have gone from strength to strength over the last few years. They are now looking to continue their forecasted growth and bring in a Head of IT to help lead the department and bring innovation and ideas to the business.

In this role, you will lead the IT processes, delivering strategy, ensuring reliability and driving innovation. You will enhance security, support key applications, ensure compliance, and manage business continuity. Additionally, you will oversee external partners, provide user support, and optimise the IT budget.

The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable, commercial and hands on IT lead / Head of IT. Whilst having the ability to oversee IT projects you will also need to be technically hands on, continuously improving company processes and developing IT strategy around networking, security, cloud, EDI, user support, SAP, software & hardware and more.

The Role:

  • Lead IT processes, delivering strategy and ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Drive innovation and continuously improve systems and networks.
  • Enhance security, ensure compliance, and manage business continuity.
  • Support key applications, including EDI services.
  • Oversee external partners and suppliers to maintain efficient operations of IT processes.
  • Provide user support when required
  • Optimise the IT budget



The Person:

  • Experienced, commercial, and hands-on IT leader.
  • Able to oversee IT projects while remaining technically involved.
  • Focused on continuous process improvement and IT strategy development.
  • Expertise in networking, security, cloud, and EDI.
  • Strong knowledge of user support, SAP, software, and hardware.
  • Capable of driving innovation and optimising IT operations.
