Birmingham
£33,366 to £40,476 DOE + 36.5 hours per week + 30 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Local council pension scheme


Excellent opportunity for an IT Network manager to join a well-respected school where you will be responsible for running the IT department and line managing a small team, in a role where you can really make your mark.

This is a hands-on IT management role where you will also line-manage one IT Technician. You will be responsible for day-to-day management of the computer network, systems and servers, as well as managing IT stock levels, budget and liaising with external vendors.

The ideal candidate will be an IT manager with a strong hands-on background and strong knowledge of networks. You will also have experience in line management, managing a budget, and dealing with vendors.

The Role:
* Hands on IT management role
* Line managing one IT Technician
* Day-to-day management of the computer network, systems and servers
* Manage network security, data protection, cybersecurity compliance, software licences, the IT budget and will develop IT policies
* Manage IT stock levels, budget, and liaise with equipment and software suppliers

The Person:
* IT manager / equivalent experience
* Hands-on IT background with strong knowledge of IT Networking
* Experience managing an IT budget, dealing with external vendors and in line-management
* Experience in the Education Sector highly beneficial but not essential
* Based in Birmingham / within a commutable distance
