Laboratory Technician-Quality Assurance
Newport Area, South Wales-Commutable from Cardiff, Bristol, Magor, Newport
£26.27 per hour (Inside IR35)
6 Month Contract + Extension / Possible Perm role
7-7, 4 on 4 off, 2 days and 2 nights, Average 42 hours/week
Excellent opportunity for an experience Laboratory Quality Technician with prior experience of working of using pipettes / Instrumentation for analysis purposes who is looking for an immediately available, well paid based contract role.
The role is for at least 6 months (possible extension/permanency) to cover an internal secondment, working on a large manufacturing site.
The position will be 90% lab based working to ensure product quality. The other 10% will be liaising across the business taking samples from various departments.
The Role
- Full time, shift based role for at least 6 months working for a large manufacturer
- Lab based role provide quality assurance support across the site, undertaking analysis of samples
- Perform calibration and maintenance on laboratory instrumentation and assist with basic Microbiology
The Person
- Degree level education in engineering or scientific subject
- Experience in a lab based quality assurance role including some chemistry work
- Experience using pipettes / Instrumentation for analysis purposes
- Willing to work shifts/nights and your own vehicle
