Lead Automation Engineer
Hinckley
£50,000 - £55,000 + Monday to Friday 40hrs + Excellent Progression + Training + Leadership Opportunities +Pension + Holiday + Modern Office.

This company have been established for over 30 years and are a leading specialist in various fields, recently expanding into water treatment, and distribution. This expansion has ensured a varied and exciting workload working for big name clients such as Walkers, Nestle, FedEx, TNT, Howdens, Rexroth, and many more.
As the go-to technical expert, you will work directly alongside the Technical Manager, sharing expertise and leading the development, and deployment of software controls for industrial automation systems. This company are looking for someone to come in with an innovative mindset and challenge existing ideas.

The Role
- Clear route to team leader.
- Develop PLC and HMI code.
- Programming of PLC's using Allen Bradley (Studio 5000) and Siemens (TIA Portal) platforms.
- Analyse electrical drawings and schematics.
- Adopt safe systems of work (RAMS).
- Deliver effective modifications to existing systems.
- Liaising with customers.
- Occasional site visits.
The Person
- 5+ years' experience in software authoring and development in similar sectors.
- Proficiency with P&IDs and instrumentation/control equipment.
- Knowledge of the implementation of IEC 61131 with understanding of "S88 Batch" and "State Machine" methodology.
- Certifications in PLC programming, HMI development, Scada development.
- BTEC, HNC, or Diploma in Software Engineering (desired).
- Be proactive and innovative.
- Clean Driving License.
