Lead Shift Engineer (Multi-Skilled)
Location: Dagenham
4 on 4 off Days and Nights
£49,500 + Shift + Premium Overtime + No Call Out + Overtime + Specialist Industrial Training + Company Pension + Medical Scheme + Holidays

Are you an engineering Lead/ Senior/ Manager from a manufacturing background looking for a varied, challenging role on a large (head office) manufacturing site?

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role will involve both line and project management, and Lead the shift maintenance team, providing both a reactive and pro-active, highly skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
The client is a large UK-focused, well-established manufacturer with a strong reputation in its market.

The role:

  • 4 On 4 Off split between days and nights
  • Lead the shift maintenance team, providing both reactive and proactive, highly skilled maintenance.
  • Liaise with external contractors.
  • carry out risk assessments of routine maintenance procedures.
  • Increase the site's operational effectiveness and improve project delivery.
  • Carrying out risk assessments for works and ensuring H&S guidelines are adhered to.
  • £49,500 + Shift + premium overtime + No Call Out + Overtime + Specialist Industrial Training + Company Pension + Medical Scheme + Holidays


The person

  • Hold a minimum CGLI or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Dual Skilled mechanical/Electrical is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience within a Team Leader role is essential, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and lead others in the team.
  • Confident with valve replacements and basic pneumatics.
  • Experience in a production/process environment e.g Steam, FMCG, Chemicals, Water (advantageous)
