Are you a Purchasing Manager, from a mechanical or machine shop background, looking to work for a specialist aerospace company and play a pivotal role leading a talented purchasing team?

My client operates across multiple continents and are renowned for their innovative products in the aerospace, aviation, and defense sector. They are looking for someone from a mechanical background to take on a Purchasing Manager role for their site in Springfield, OH.
In this role you will be responsible for the vendor term negotiations, prices, and schedules delivery. This company are growing up their purchasing team and you will be for mentoring, developing, and growing a team of 3+ people.
This would suit a Purchasing Manager who has worked in a mechanical or machine shop environment, looking to develop their career and learn from experts in a new industry.
The role:
- Playing a pivotal role leading the purchasing department
- Being key point of contact when negotiating with vendors
- Machine shop environment
- Monday - Friday 100% on site - potential for some travel in future

- From any mechanical manufacturing or CNC machine shop environment
- Mechanical and metals knowledge
