Senior Engineering Manager- Platform
Berlin (Hybrid)
€150,000-200,000 + Stock options + Holiday + benefits
Excellent opportunity for an experience Platform or DevOps Engineer, who has experience leading teams, defining the future growth and leading by example in a hands on role. The platform team builds and manages the core systems powering the company's solutions.
The company, are passionate about building the next generation of Edge Computing solutions. They deliver a distributed, cloud-native edge management and orchestration solution, simplifying the security and remote management of edge infrastructure and applications at scale.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record for delivering products and features shipped by your team, and working along side customers ensure their needs are met. You will have experience hiring and developing high calibre talent, and scaling engineering teams.

The role:
- You will lead your team to build a highly available, scalable and reliable platform that is essential to the business.
- You will be responsible for delivery of products and features shipped by your team.
- You will work with strong engineers and customers to help ensure that we continue to build excellent products with new and improved features.
The person:
- Experience with hands on software architecture, design, and implementation in all areas of technology, architecture, data design, and user interface.
- Experience with documenting code and platform functionality so other groups can use it.
- Solid understanding of distributed, microservice based systems and building services on top of containers.
- Experience building and running extremely reliable platform systems supporting high-scale and critical workloads, including running a 24x7 on-call, 99.95+% availability, fast response and short mean-time-to-restore service.
- Wide experience with Technologies like k8s, different public cloud providers, data pipelines, microservices based architectures. Designing and maintaining various databases, e.g. postgresql, redis, hashicorp vault.
- Has experience scaling engineering orgs from 5 to 50+.
- Past experience with working for a fast paced Startup.
