Senior Science Technician
Plymouth

£22,800 actual starting salary (Pro-rata from £30,000 full-time equivalent) + 16% employer pension contribution + 7.2 weeks of paid holiday per annum
30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time (with potential flexibility to increase hours (and therefore pay) for the right candidate)

The organisation are a group of schools across Plymouth who have been established for a number of years. They pride themselves on their friendly and welcoming environment and are looking to grow further, adding a Senior Science Technician to their team.

In this role you will organise and maintain laboratory equipment and facilities, prepare and manage materials and resources for science lessons, and will oversee the storage, preparation, and disposal of chemicals in line with CLEAPSS and COSHH guidelines. You will also support the Head of Department with budgeting, inventory management, and staff training, and advise teaching staff on Health & Safety procedures and the setup of practical experiments.

The ideal candidate will be a Science Technician (Chemistry, Physics, or Biology) ready to step into a senior technician role within a School, and will be experienced in following CLEAPSS guidelines and ensuring Health & Safety compliance in a laboratory setting.

The Role:
