Software Systems Engineer (Python)

£40,000-£45,000 + 35 Days Holiday + Healthcare + Progression + Private Pension
Excellent opportunity for a Systems Engineer with experience of industrial and/or manufacturing software to join a brand new department offering a great benefits package, brilliant progression routes, and the chance to get involved in some really interesting, major projects!
This company are undertaking the biggest modernisation programme in their history. They have built an on-site data centre, have implemented an Azure-based cloud network, are undertaking a major hardware overhaul, and are now rebuilding an entire mainframe system.
In this role you will join a brand new MES Team. You'll be involved in all things programme design, coding, testing, documentation, and modification. You'll work closely with other teams and departments including Software Development, Operations, and Manufacturing departments. You'll start on a new Mainframe project alongside other Developers and a specialist 3rd Party. Due to the collaboration and sensitive nature of some of these systems this in an office based position.
The ideal candidate will be a Python Developer with a good understanding of server-side web applications and Linux. Any experience with Virtual Memory Areas (VMA) would be beneficial but training will be provided. Candidates must be commutable or willing to relocate to the Scunthorpe area.

*Experience as a Python Developer
*Experience within an Commercial setting
*Experience with Windows and Linux environments
