Are you looking for an outstanding, friendly company environment that values work-life balance while offering a great hybrid opportunity that fuels your passion and technical expertise in solar energy?

Do you seek a company that values its staff and provides additional benefits, including commission and generous pension contributions?

Then this company is for you. My client, the UK's largest installer network, provides energy-saving solutions through government-backed schemes for customers and clients across the country. They develop and deliver energy-efficient solutions across a wide range of sectors, from construction to energy, in both domestic and commercial settings.

This role is for a Solar Specialist to help achieve the company's goal of making the country greener and reducing carbon emissions while providing excellent customer service. This is a hybrid position, requiring travel to sites 2 to 3 days a week, where you will provide your expert solar technical knowledge to clients and customers throughout the UK. You will diagnose and address issues, plan and commission installations, handle queries from the network of installers, and support and train technical teams across the business.

The ideal candidate will have an electrical engineering background and be well-versed in solar energy, seeking to step into a more technical role. Alternatively, an engineer with years of experience looking to transition away from hands-on work but still utilize their technical knowledge would be suitable. Holding your NICEIC qualification or an equivalent is essential for this position, as it will allow you to work independently; however, the client can cover the cost of this for the right candidate. Other solar qualifications are desired but not essential.

This is a great opportunity for a solar expert to step into a position that will allow them to utilize their skills.

The Role

  • Provide expert solar technical knowledge to clients and customers across the UK.
  • Diagnose and address technical issues related to solar installations.
  • Plan and commission solar energy installations while ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Support and train technical teams and installers, enhancing their knowledge and skills.

The Candidate

  • Background in electrical engineering or significant experience in solar energy.
  • Holds a NICEIC qualification or equivalent; other solar qualifications are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Passionate about renewable energy and committed to reducing carbon emissions.
