Supply Chain Manager (Engineering / Manufacturing)

Monday - Friday Days (Monday- Thursday 8-5pm & Friday 8.30am-2pm)

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of UK Production Planning, Internal and External Replenishment, and Procurement activities, as well as the co-ordination of various activities related to product maintenance. The role will form a key part of the regional EMEIA team responsible for the development and improvement of Supply Chain processes .

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Supply Chain Manager to make a real impact in a senior position within this function, whilst working with a talented and dynamic team of professionals.

This is a full-time position, with an early finish on Fridays, allowing for a healthy work-life balance and the chance to enjoy all that Bridgwater and the surrounding area has to offer.

The role

  • Day-to-day management of UK Supply Chain processes & management of a small Procurement team
  • Execution of strategic improvements and initiatives including, but not limited to: Development of the planning function - optimising demand, manufacturing and replenishment planning processes.
  • Continuous Improvement of supply and logistics processes,
  • Development of the procurement team & strategic, tactical and negotiation capabilities
  • Inventory management, Stock file maintenance & Management of slow-moving and obsolete stock, Inventory reporting and analysis


The person

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Supply Chain management role with a degree in a relevant discipline and/or holding a relevant professional qualification, such as membership of ISCM or LIPS.
  • Familiarity with operating MRP systems within ERP environments
  • Demonstrable track record of working with a large vendor base and delivering targeted cost reductions across various raw material, component and packaging categories.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with third-party manufacturers (3PM) & third-party logistics (3PL) organisations.
  • An awareness of UK/EU Regulatory frameworks
