This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced chartered building surveyor to take the next step in their career and join a chartered consultancy where you will play a pivotal role in their ambitious growth and development.

This consultancy specialises in dilapidations and refurbishments, making up most of their workload, alongside some quantity surveying services. With a strong project portfolio ranging from large national retail clients to smaller private works, no two days are the same. As part of a five-year strategic expansion plan, they're now seeking a Building Surveying Director to ensure their Bristol team continues to grow and play a key role in its success.
In this role, you'll be stepping into a client-facing role with responsibility from the beginning, being responsible for bringing in new work and developing client relationships with a major focus on business development. You will continue to conduct surveys ensuring all work is held to a high standard in line with the company's reputation and ensuring client satisfaction throughout. You will be travelling throughout the surrounding areas expanding the company's client base and playing a key role in growth.
Therefore, the ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and shown experience working on dilapidations and refurbishment projects and proven experience in business development throughout their career with proven success. As well as a full UK drivers licence for site visits and client meetings.

The Role:
- Focus on business development throughout the Southwest
- Conduct surveys, and produce high-quality reports
- Conduct client meetings and build relationships
- A mixture of office-based, remote, and on-site work throughout the Southwest and South Wales
- Directly input into the company's ambitious growth plans by growing the client base
The Person:
- Degree-qualified in Building Surveying and MRICS Chartership
- Proven experience and success with business development
- Strong technical knowledge and a minimum of 10 years' experience, in the industry specialising in dilapidations and refurbishments
- Eager to play a crucial role in the growth of a highly reputable company
- Based in or around the Bristol area and willing to travel across the region
- Full UK drivers' licence
