Mechanical Engineer - Purchasing / Buyer / Graduate
$70,000 - $80,000 + 401(K) + New role training + Progression + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Dallas, Texas (Initially Remote, moving to onsite after office development)
Are you a Mechanical Engineer with any experience in supply chain management, purchasing or sales, looking to work for a specialist manufacturer and take your first steps in a technical purchasing role?
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a rapidly growing business and be seen as the technical expert in the purchasing team.
My client operates across multiple continents and are renowned for their innovative products in the aerospace, aviation, and defense sector. They are looking for someone from a CNC / machine shop background to take on a Mechanical Purchasing Specialist role within Dallas, Texas.
In this role your main responsibilities will be to negotiate terms and prices with vendors, collaborate with multiple internal teams, and provide mechanical technical guidance. You will be working in a tight knit team and report to the Purchasing Manager.
This would suit a Buyer who has worked in a mechanical or industrial environment, or a Mechanical Engineer or Graduate looking to develop their career and receive new industry training.
The role:
- Part of the purchasing team - 3+ people
- Negotiating terms and prices with vendors - mechanical and technical
- Monday - Friday 100% on site - potential for some travel in future
The Person:
- Mechanical Engineer
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- CNC machine shop environment
- Great communication / Negotiation skills
- Any supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or sales experience is ideal
